Physical Therapists

Nancy Reynolds, PT, MEd
Nancy received her Physical Therapy degree from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, and a Masterís degree in sports medicine/athletic training from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Her 35 years of physical therapy practice have included treating patients with orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, geriatric and sports-related problems. Nancy received the 2011 Excellence in Clinical Practice Award from the NCPTA; a prestigious honor awarded to one clinician in NC each year. Nancy has developed a passionate interest in working with patients with Parkinson's disease. She is certified in PWR! Exercise for Brain Change and the Allied Team Training program through the Movement Disorder Society & National Parkinson Foundation. Her clinic is included in the network directory of UNC's National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence. Outside of her rewarding career, Nancy enjoys creating beautiful pieces of art glass, exercising, reading, and walking with her 2 Corgi dogs.

Cristina Baric Layne, PT, DPT
Dr. Cristina Layne earned her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Elon University. Cristina completed her clinical rotation with us and then joined our physical therapy team in January 2014. Cristina has experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics. She is interested in pursuing an Orthopedic Manual Therapy Certification. Outside of the clinic Cristina enjoys fostering for the local golden retriever rescue, exercising and spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Claire McCormick, PT, DPT
Dr. Claire McCormick earned her Bachelorís degree in Neuroscience from Duke University. She then obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University, with clinical training at Duke Regional Hospital, WakeMed Health and Hospitals, and Concentra Medical Center. We are happy to welcome Dr. Claire McCormick as the newest addition to our physical therapy team, joining us in October 2015. Claire has experience in neurological rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, and has a particular interest in Parkinsonís disease. She is certified in LSVT BIGģ for the treatment of patients with Parkinsonís and is an active member of the National Parkinsonís Foundation and Neurology Section of the APTA. Claire is also a member of the North Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Association and enjoys volunteering at local wheelchair rugby events. Outside of the clinic, Claire enjoys singing in her church choir, food blogging, cheering on the Duke Blue Devils, and going for long bike rides with her husband and their lab-retriever, Samoa.

Monica Kolzet, PT
Monica received her degree in physical therapy from Boston University and later completed two years of additional course work in exercise physiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Monica has over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, including opening her own physical therapy clinic in Durham, NC for 10 years. She is particularly interested in patients with TMD and orthopedic issues. As a survivor of late stage ovarian cancer, Monica is a strong advocate for early detection and research. She has lectured throughout the United States on the importance of exercise during and post chemotherapy. Outside the clinic, Monica is a certified Master Gardener and enjoys outdoor activities such as tennis. She speaks Spanish.

Lindsey Kenny, PT, DPT
Dr. Lindsey Kenny earned her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Milligan College in Tennessee. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lindsey trained at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, Medical University of South Carolina, and Roper Rehabilitation Hospital in Charleston, SC. She has experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. Lindsey also has a special interest in running injuries and geriatrics. In May 2013 she completed the Interdisciplinary Certificate in Aging from UNC-Chapel Hill. Outside of the clinic Lindsey enjoys running and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.

Office Administration & Billing

Debbie Baker, CPC
Debbie joined us in January of 2011 as our Practice Administration and Billing Manager. She originally worked in computer programming for 10 years after receiving a BS in Computer Science. She then took time out of the work force to raise her 3 children, 1 son and twin girls. Debbie retrained in Health Information Technology, receiving her CPC medical coding certification in 2009. She was a physician medical coder prior to finding her home at Reynolds & Associates PT. As a billing specialist, Debbie communicates extensively with insurance companies and is the primary point of contact for patients' insurance questions, handling all billing matters. She has contributed greatly to improving the overall efficiency of office procedures, and patient registration and billing processes. Outside the office Debbie enjoys spending time with her children, attending their extracurricular activities, and working in the yard.

Front Desk Staff

Deb Childers
Deb joined our team in November 2016. She has a degree in Journalism from Syracuse University, and worked for many years in advertising and publishing. Deb and her husband have three children - a daughter who graduated from Virginia Tech, a daughter who is a student-athlete at The University of Mary Washington, and a son who attends Chapel Hill High School. In her free time, Deb enjoys hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, walking her dog, and cheering on her children's lacrosse teams.

Alexa Vitale
Alexa is an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She will graduate in 2019 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. Following graduation, she is planning to earn her DPT and start work as a Pediatric Physical Therapist. She is a member of both Tri-Beta Honor society and Psi Chi Honor Society. Outside of Clinic and school, she enjoys the outdoors and quality time with her friends and cat, Ember. She spends the remainder of her free time running and studying.
